The service

PHX Mail Tools provides free online tools that check publicly available information about email and domains (such as DNS records and public blocklists) and explain the results in plain language.

Accuracy — please read this

Reports are generated from public data at the moment you run a check. DNS changes can take time to spread across the internet, so a very recent change may not appear immediately.
A good grade means your configuration checks passed. It is not a guarantee that any particular email will reach an inbox — delivery also depends on content, reputation and the receiving provider.
Blocklist results reflect the lists we query at check time. Listing and removal decisions belong to the list operators, not to us.
Always double-check DNS changes before applying them to a domain you depend on. We are not liable for changes you make based on a report.

Fair use

Use the tools as much as a human reasonably would — they are free.
Automated bulk querying, scraping of results, or attempts to overload or break the service are not allowed. We may rate-limit or block abusive traffic.
Only check domains you own or are authorised to test.

Availability

The service is provided "as is", free of charge, and may change or be unavailable at times. We may add, change or retire tools.
